CNC Wire Erosion
At SDS we use the very latest Fanuc Wire Erosion machines to produce components in a wide variety of complex shapes and sizes to the finest of tolerances.
Our Wire Cut EDM not only delivers pristine surfaces and incredible accuracy but will do 80% of your everyday cutting tasks without you ever needing to change the set up. We can produce almost any part with a single Wire Cut, we can cut conductive materials ranging from aluminium and copper to Titanium and Stellite with an electrical spark. EDM technology allows you to achieve extreme accuracy when producing incredibly delicate parts at very high cutting speeds. Since only one tool is required it is also your low cost alternative to milling, turning or grinding. Customers who provide expensive free issue material are given the confidence that Wire Cut EDM has the advantage that no swarf is produced and additional scrap costs are not incurred. To ensure seamless cutting on non-stop production runs, we have an automatic wire feed which automatically rethreads the wire in case of breaking. It does this submerged in the cutting gap and so dispenses with the need to drain and refill the water tank.
